Dodgson's Looking Glass*
Skills Affected: Many.
[-0] It Is What It Is. It’s a mirror. It reflects things.
[-0] Unbreakable. As an Item of Power, this item cannot be broken except with a magical ritual predicated upon perverting its purpose.
[-2] Though The Looking Glass. Any individual aware of the Looking Glass’ nature can look into the glass and will it to show what it would be reflecting if it was on the other side of the veil between the mortal world and the Nevernever. Likewise, anyone on the other side when this occurred would see the Looking Glass suddenly appear and a reflection of the user and his surroundings in it. The Looking Glass is basically on both sides simultaneously. Anyone on either side can deliberately choose to cross to the other simply by touching the “reflection” and pushing forward. The portal between locations remains open until someone touches the frame and wills it closed. When that happens the Looking Glass is pulled fully onto the side that person is on and disappears from the other (Swift Transition).
Originally owned by 19th Century author and mathematician Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known to the world as Lewis Carroll, the arcane materials and occult ratios devised for its construction with help from fellow members in the Society for Physical Research enable one to use it to cross between the mortal world and the Nevernever.
