Blackbeard's Spyglass

Skills Affected: Lore
Effects:
[-0] It Is What It Is. An old spyglass hailing from the Golden Age of Piracy, it lets you see things far way. It also would probably be worth quite a bit as an antique, especially if its history could be authenticated.
[-0] Unbreakable. As an Item of Power, this item cannot be broken.
[-2] Know Thy Target. The spyglass allowed Blackbeard to know whether a potential target would be worth his while to go after. It did so by revealing three things. The first was Might, which was how much of a fight the target could potentially put up. The next was Stubborness, which was how willing they would be to fight to the bitter end versus being amendable to surrender or negotiation. The last was Worth, which was how much wealth and value his quarry possessed. The spyglass can not reveal the specifics of each category but it can give one an idea of the general nature involved. For example, when sensing the Might of an apparently human figure, it would not reveal that the figure is a wizard or a ghoul but it would give the user the figure’s level of power and that it is mostly magical or physical potency respectively. In another example, it would reveal that someone is very wealthy in the form of cash, stocks, real estate and art, but not which stocks, properties and objects of art.
